RECENT FLOOD IN SOUTHERN PUNJAB

District Mianwali
Area effected = 765,000 Acres
Population displaced = 550,000 person from 157 villages, (20 union councils)
Deaths =  2 persons

District Bhakkar
Area effected = 60,000 Acres
Population displaced = 8,000 person
Houses damaged = 1,500
Deaths = 42 persons

District Layyah
09 union councils have been completely flooded. 08 people died, while up to 200 are injured including snake biting cases.
Govt. and other agencies evacuated only 10% of effected population while other moved self help basis.
Population effected = 150,000 persons from 47 villages
Live stock died = 7,580

District Muzaffar Garh
Area effected = 211,970 Acres
Population displaced = 910,250
Deaths  = 165
Peoples injured = 470
Live stock died = 21,755 Nos.
